PGA MSP Airport
New experiences at the MSP International Airport are making travel more enjoyable for the record numbers of people who pass through this facility. One lively addition is PGA MSP Airport, a state-of-the-art golf lifestyle experience that offers dining, retail, putting practice, and simulated game play to golf enthusiasts. Miller Dunwiddie has decades of experience designing for MSP. This unique addition was an especially enjoyable airport project and it is the first of its kind in the United States.
Our designers wanted to capture the relaxed and refined atmosphere of a modern country club to give travelers an escape from the intense pace of travel. This spacious facility offers a mix of golf-themed options, including putting practice, large-screen range simulators, and a pro shop. A lounge, smaller comfortable seating areas, and warm, double-layered bar and restaurant invite travelers to settle in. Workspaces, a conference room, and private restrooms are also on hand. We created separate atmospheres for each of these experiences to scale down the airport to an intimate level. In select parts of the PGA space, windows and openings provide views of the tarmac and concourse; that energy is never far away. Within this retreat, however, leisure rules.
