POSITION: ARCHITECT

Miller Dunwiddie Architecture is seeking a talented, motivated Architect with a minimum of five years of professional experience as a licensed Architect in a design firm to join our team.   The ideal candidate is passionate about architecture, has a strong design sensibility and appreciates the process of articulating design through the documentation and construction process. Successful candidates will work collaboratively with their teams to support, develop, and coordinate the design and implementation of a full range of project types.

DUTIES:

  • Communication with internal and consultant teams
  • Prepare complete documents to convey the design intent and philosophy as determined by the design team at all phases of design, from schematic design graphics to detailed construction documents for bidding.
  • Building code research and analysis
  • Produce detailed and coordinated digital documents for the project team
  • Construction Administration coordination with the design team and contractor
  • Work with all team members
  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate with the entire team in innovative areas that include Energy/Performance Analysis, Design and Visualization.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Work both independently in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively within a project team.
  • Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills are essential
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, a passion for discovery and constant improvement, high motivation, and an ability to collaborate and work within a team setting are essential.
  • Diverse knowledge of architectural practices and design thinking that can be applied to a variety of assignments, taking initiative in response to direction or instruction.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited university architecture program
  • Registered Architect State of MN
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional architectural experience in an architect role.
  • Proficiency and professional experience using Revit for project development and documentation
  • Knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape and advanced rendering are valued
  • Knowledge of energy and carbon analysis tools such as Flixo, Autodesk Insight, Tally or similar tools is valued.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Great interpersonal communication skills strongly preferred
  • Service for community and professional organizations valued.

SALARY RANGE: $80,000 – $110,000


POSITION: DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Miller Dunwiddie is seeking a talented, motivated Director of Finance to join our team.   The ideal candidate is highly experienced in finance, accounting, human resources and general administration and appreciates a business that values work/life balance.  Successful candidates will work collaboratively with all teams to support our mission.

DUTIES:

  • Leads all accounting, financial analysis, budgeting and cash flow management.
  • Leads projects to maximize value of ERP software reporting and analysis tools.
  • Leads HR administration and payroll.
  • Oversees general administration of the company and office.
  • Assists with proposal generation (mainly financial aspect).
  • Collaborates with executives on strategies to increase profitability.
  • Oversees all compliance activity (professional and governmental).
  • Presents financial reports to executives, board members and other stakeholders.
  • Monitors and enhances reporting on key performance indicators.
  • Leads annual CPA review and assists with ESOP activities.
  • Leads risk management (insurance) and legal activities.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Proficient user of enterprise software and has advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Experience leading collaborative project teams.
  • Has strong analytical skills and is naturally curious.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s in accounting or a related major required.
  • Certified Public Accountants preferred.
  • At least 10 years in accounting roles required.
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • HR, payroll and general administration experience required.
  • ESOP experience preferred.
  • Professional services experience preferred.
  • Deltek (Vantagepoint) experience preferred.
  • The position is in office and remote candidates will not be considered.

SALARY RANGE:  The base salary range for this position is $130,000 – $140,000.


POSITION: MARKETING COORDINATOR

Miller Dunwiddie is seeking a full-time Marketing Coordinator with experience in the A/E/C industry and a passion for the dynamic, fast-paced world of marketing. This role is integral to the firm’s continued success, working closely with Principals, Market Sector Leads, our Marketing Manager, and both internal & external teams to produce high quality proposals and provide essential business development support. At Miller Dunwiddie, our Employee-Owners are guided by the same core conviction: doing it right will make it last.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the start to finish process for marketing pursuits – including proposal management, content development, and document production – with a focus on Request for Qualifications /Request for Proposals responses, qualifications packages, proposals, and interview materials.
  • Create high-quality marketing content and collateral to support a range of marketing initiatives including proposals, project awards submissions, conferences, social media, speaking engagements, and publication advertising.
  • Lead pursuit teams in executing strategies, assign responsibilities, and manage deadlines while coordinating with external partners to gather and integrate proposal content.
  • Conduct research to inform pursuit strategies, assist in developing compelling win themes, and ensure consistency from proposal through interview, while maintaining compliance with client requirements and brand standards across all materials.
  • Collaborate closely with Principals, Market Sector Leads and Marketing Manager to support and align with firmwide marketing goals and initiatives.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business or a related field.
  • Must have 3 to 5 years of experience in the A/E/C industry with a strong understating of industry terminology and proposal processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), and Bluebeam Studio.
  • Demonstrated success in team oriented, fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with ability to prioritize and manage time, meet tight deadlines and be proactive.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently and in teams. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality polished marketing materials.
  • Ability to adapt to and communicate changes effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills in managing the coordination of large teams to gather and organize data for complex pursuits.
  • Confidence in facilitating conversations with senior team members, comfortable offering creative input, receiving / giving constructive feedback, and presenting ideas.
  • Skilled in building strong, collaborative relationships across teams, both in-person and remotely.
  • Exceptional editing skills with attention to details.

SALARY RANGE: (regional cost of living, years of relevant experience, certifications, etc. are considered into the hiring process): $55,000 – $75,000 contingent upon relevant experience.
